Design and implementation of a datacenter for astroinformatics: This project proposes to design and implement a Data Center with emerging technologies to store, administer and manage large volumes of data in the order of Petabytes (Big Data). It is proposed to develop Cloud Computing services to meet the needs of access to astronomical data and consolidate a highly specialized capacity in the development of astroinformatic locally. Computer Science for ALMA - Strengthening R&D within a Chilean University: This project has the goal to fund a full-time position at UTFSM to work part time in the ALMA Computing IPT (50%) and part time in academic activities at the UTFSM (50%).
