Laboratorío de Postgrado Casa Central

Ubicación: 3er Piso Edificio F3, Casa Central
Da soporte a actividades de investigación y postgrado del Departamento de Informática en Casa Central. Cuenta con un total de 17 Pcs, modelo MAC de 21, 5 pulgadas, 2 estaciones de trabajo con capacidad para 4 estudiantes cada una. Existen 8 cubículos individuales, para profesores visitantes y alumnos del programa. Una oficina de la Secretaría de Investigación y Postgrado también equipada con tecnología MAC, además de su propia impresora multifuncional. Este laboratorio cuenta con mesa de reuniones para 10 personas, 1 impresora multifuncional para uso de los alumnos, 1 pizarra, 1 proyector, 1 telón, área de cafetería y de descanso.

Laboratorio de Postgrado San Joaquín

Ubicación: Edificio B, Campus San Joaquín
Da soporte a actividades de investigación y postgrado del Departamento de Informática en Campus San Joaquín. Cuenta con 3 estaciones de trabajo con capacidad para 4 estudiantes cada una. Además hay 4 puestos adicionales. Se dispone de sistema de TV, cafetería, impresora multifuncional, lockers, pizarras, proyector, revisteros y área de descanso.

Grupo Astroinformática

Director: Dr. Mauricio Solar

Descripción: Grupo de investigación operando desde el año 2009. Trabaja en la investigación y docencia en temas tales como Astroinformática y Observatorios Virtuales. Integra tecnologías al Atacama Large Millimeter/subMillimeter Array Observatory (ALMA) y mantiene el observatorio virtual Chileno (ChiVO).

1. CONVENIO UNIVERSIDAD DE BOLONIA, ITALIA.
Convenio de intercambio de estudiantes de postgrado y profesores, con el Departamento de Electrónica, Informática y Sistemas de la Universidad de Bolonia, Italia. Coordinadores Prof. Dr. Claudio Sartori (Universidad de Bolonia) y el profesor Dr. Héctor Allende Olivares (Profesor DI UTFSM).

2. COOPERACION UNIVERSIDAD DE BRISTOL, INGLATERRA.
Acuerdo de Cooperación entre el Department of Computer Science de la Universidad de Bristol, Inglaterra y el DI de la UTFSM. Coordinadores Dr. Nello Cristianini (Bristol, Inglaterra) y el Dr. Juan Ricardo Ñanculef A.
3. CONVENIO UNIVERSIDAD DE ROMA, ITALIA.
Convenio entre el Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) de la Universidad de Roma Tre, Italia y el DI de la UTFSM. Convenio de intercambio de estudiantes. Contacto en la Universidad de Roma, el profesor Federico Ruggieri y en la UTFSM, el profesor Dr. Luis Salinas.

4. CONVENIO TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITÄT MÜNCHEN, ALEMANIA.
Convenio de visitas cortas e intercambio de estudiantes y profesores entre el Departamento de Informática Technische Universität München, Alemania y el DI de la UTFSM. Coordinadores Dr. Carsten Trinitis, Prof. Instituto de Informática (Alemania) y el Prof. Dr. Luis Salinas (Chile).

5. CONVENIO INRIA-PARIS ROCQUENCOURT, FRANCIA.
Convenio de visitas cortas e intercambio de estudiantes y profesores entre el INRIA-Paris Rocquencourt, Paris, Francia y el DI de la UTFSM, Chile. Coordinadores Dra. Nelly Bencomo (Francia) y el profesor Dr. Hernán Astudillo (Chile).

6. CONVENIO NASA-AMES RESEARCH CENTER, ESTADOS UNIDOS.
Convenio intercambio de estudiantes y profesores entre NASA – Ames Re- search Center, Moffett Field, California EE.UU y el DI de la UTFSM, Chile. Coordinadores del convenio Ph.D. Nikunj C. Oza, USA y el Prof. Dr. Héctor Allende (Chile).

7. CONVENIO UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN, ESTADOS UNIDOS.
Convenio de visitas cortas e intercambio de estudiantes y profesores entre el Functional MRI Laboratory, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Estados Unidos y el DI de la UTFSM, Chile. Coordinadores del convenio Dr. Luis Hernández García (Estados Unidos) y el Prof. Dr. Héctor Allende (Chile).

8. CONVENIO DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY, HALIFAX, CANADA.
Convenio de cooperación e intercambio de académicos y estudiantes, reconocimiento y acreditación mutua de cursos, asesoriamiento a estudiantes de postgrado, elaboración conjunta de proyectos orientados a la obtención de financiamiento externo en el Departamento de Ciencia de la Computación de la Universidad de Dalhousie y el DI de la UTFSM.
